The SOX data just posted can be summed up in graphical terms with a chart looking at the past 13 weeks as well as showing the previous 2 quarterly reporting periods. In a word or two, "this time it is different" compared to the previous 2 reporting periods.

In the previous 2 periods, the SOX "sold off" big time. In this past 2 weeks of reporting, the SOX has surged upwards. As a matter of fact, this week the SOX closed above 400 for the 1st time since the week of 2 June 2008, almost 2 years ago. We have 1 more week to go in this reporting period - can the SOX keep the upward trend next week?

It is really nice to have your tables to look at, especially after we just had a huge run where some of my stocks like LRCX and UTEK seem to have broken out to new 52 week highs.
