FDR was then------in recent history, post depression and post WWII the 8 years of President George W. Bush have been the hardest years in our lifetimes. Lest you forget the 9/11/01 attacks that changed the whole gestalt of Americans lives. Terrorism came to America----terrorism is a war that came here on our land.
