I believe the people in Washington state are voting without being fully informed. If they knew the real truth, you'd get a much different response.

I see the misinformation and fear campaigns in my own community. City officials try to say you won't be safe unless you pay higher taxes. Your kids won't learn unless you pay higher taxes. They say there are no other options when they pay someone $75-grand a year to cut grass in the city parks instead of privatizing that job to a company that could do it for 1/2 the cost.

One truth I found out off the record recently from a local union fire fighter was the non-union employees in the municipality I live offered to take a 15% pay cut to save the jobs of their fellow co-workers who were being cut by budget cuts, but the mayor refused. The mayor instead opted to ask for a tax increase in addition to the budget cuts to maintain the pay levels of himself and his cronies. The mayor has not proposed any pay cuts at all even though revenues have dropped dramatically and local private industry wages have dropped by 10% and unemployment is high.

The city I live in laid off some police and fire fighters 7-months ago, and nobody has even noticed. They want to raise taxes to hire them back. We don't need them, but the city unions funded a campaign to spread fear amongst the community saying people won't be safe unless they approve higher taxes.

The people are not getting the truth, but they will eventually, and they will react much differently once that is revealed.

People who vote are idiots. Politicians are all the same. The only way to 'really' vote is to not vote at all and then when they do their typical creepy politician thing they won't be able to claim that the the majority of citizens voted for them.

I'm serious and I'll say it again...people who vote are IDIOTS.
There is no such thing as an honest politician. Did you know that in some countries the dictators in charge make it the law that you have to vote? Australia is one such country. I'd rather shoot a politician than vote for one.

I suppose you still believe there is really a 2 party system in America and that they are somehow different? Answer?
