True, the resignation came well after the election. For me Palin is an example similar to Clarence Thomas. Many moderate Democrats believe liberals support this or that group of people and nothing could be further from the truth. Liberals are agenda orientated and are actually more hostile to females and people of color who don't tow the liberal line. Palin's greatest contribution may be that more people now realize this.
