To All,

Cymer is the future 900-lb. gorilla in a food chain. No matter how
successful its products are it cannot progress faster than those food stuffs ahead of it; namely, the stepper manufacturers. Worse, it cannot complain, report, nor announce in specific terms what its stepper and chip manufacturing clients are doing to meet demand because of its non-disclosure agreements. Consequently, the only news of any significance about Cymer will be its past and future earnings' reports. That and those infamous analyst report cards, which *should* contain "upgrades" in the very near future.

Best to all, Allan

Yes, the board would need to approve the AMOUNT of POSSIBLE buyback..

but it doesn't need to say when or if it will. It's an option. No one knew Intel bought shares not so far back when they recently announced.

I don't expect CYMI too, but I would vote for $30 million if I were on the board. $160 Million (after) is plenty of spending cash for Cymer. They keep bringing in more each Q. :-)

In the meantime they send a strong statement!!

Aloha
