It's as simple as 1 2 3.....No need for complex industry analysis... 1. Snapdragon buzz is everywhere..How about QCOM do what Intel did with Pentium.. Forget that "Digital by Qualcomm" sticker crap on the phone...nobody know what it is... Do the snapdragon inside and put some serious marketing $$ behind it...A day when people ask "Is there a snap dragon in there?" is the day I would raise a toast....Imagine what it would do to Qualcomm if the super bowl commercial was for snapdragon instead of FLO? 2. BREW is showing some good sign with Sprint and AT&T on board. Snapdragon and Brew combo. Got to work the combo to make it stickier... You don't want to compete with Ghz number alone. Apple Iphone spec is inferior to an army of android phone, but it's still doing well thanks to its IphoneOS/Appstore. 3. Management need to focus and execute and stop the guidance and mid quarter announcement. I am no trader and I don't need to know the number every other month. Especially when the guidance are not reliable. This Jan-April fiasco should not happen again... Unfortunately, it's not the first time..and probably won't be the last. If you want to give guidance, do what Microsoft and Apple do. Microsoft, during its growth in the 90s, always low ball its guidance and then beat the heck out of them. Apple is doing the same for years... Their guidances are meant not to be followed. The only bright spot so far, is Snapdragon and it's credited to Dr Sanjay according to golfinvestor's post Message 26487084 Unfortunately, Dr Sanjay is w/moto now. BREW is still Brewing after how many years already??? Iphone is 4.0..and now BREW is finally a platform?? Management...What's the reason for the rosy mid-quarter update? Are you managing the company or stock? I don't need more volatility in the company. That's it...1,2,3..... 1 is thumb up 2 and 3 thumb down...move along nothing to see here... I've been following this board for years hoping one day, I can hop back on the QCOM train, unfortunately, there is no sign of green light for me yet.... Love this line "In the end, the problem is not with QUALCOMM or its management. The problem lies squarely with the shareholders for tolerating this situation." Message 26486605 I can't fire the management but I can fire the stock...
