"It just pisses me off when people conveniently forget to state that Dems get more lobbying money from the banksters than the GOP congresscritters."

They're the party in power, the party with the ability to actually DO things. They SHOULD get more money. The surprising thing is how the (R)'s hang in there, willing to whore for anyone with a dime, which is bankers right now.

in my perennial request: can we all just agree that any differences between the 2 parties are for entertainment purposes only?

Uh, the Dems raked in a lot more money from the criminally minded people on Wall St. than the GOP...It just pisses me off when people conveniently forget to state that Dems get more lobbying money from the banksters than the GOP congresscritters.

I see your post got a lot of recommendations, which means there must be a lot of ignorant posters on these threads. Here are the facts:
Dems: $627,409,265
Repubs: $735,898,135
209.190.229.100

I don't really care who is getting the funding. Mainly, I'm more interested in where the markets are headed, since we are virtually guaranteed to get a weak bill that doesn't solve the root causes of the financial mess this economy is in.

Where is inflation headed? And if rates start to increase rapidly, where can you still get an after inflation 8% return, even as US stocks get hammered from inflation-hawk activities?
