To: prosperous who wrote (63047 ) 4/25/2010 8:44:50 PM From: TobagoJack Respond to of 218074 i think it would be a terrible thing when kids see their parents stay home over extended time and not going somewhere to work, even when parents do make-belief work from home office one's kids must see one visit the office and get out of the home so many days every week, and occasionally travel to further away places for biz, just so that the kids do not grow up to think one can simply stay home, turn on the music, click on the internet, chit chat over skype, sip some starbucks, make some delicious sandwich, take a nap, play a round of unreal tournament, post on some si threads, wait for dinner prepared by "auntie editha" or "auntie anna", and fret over what to pack for a vacation from work when three and half, my daughter thought i make my living by buying gold and by fighting the enemy darkwalkers while zipping around on my manta ray hover / flying machine at four and half she figured i renovate and rent out homes at five and half, now, she figures i make a living by chatting with people and looking at charts and making some phone calls re strange things called puts and calls i am in process to explain to her what dada does is not that different than playing monopoly she asked to empty the piggy bank and count up her second batch of coins since birth to turn into the bank, so that the proceeds, along with this past chinese lunar new year take of red packets can be turned into one gold coin, so that she can give her brother jack a coin upon birth and keep one for her self progress work, mineralize, work some more, mineralize some more, share, work, mineralize still more ... good old asian values coconut wants to be a gardener and a museum designer when she grows up, and says she wants to attend the same school her mama attended and wants her kid brother, once born, to attend the same schools she attended when asked what she will teach jack when jack able to learn, she smiles, and says what alarms me most, "dada, i will teach jack how to turn on your computer"
