Orchestrated or not, at the end of the day what happens is that Euroland is paying the tribute of having an inadequately strong currency for most of the time. For us this was ok since we enjoyed practically zero inflation (aside from some pockets like gasoline and other energy) but the credit-driven model was clearly designed for much more inflation, which didn´t happen.

EUR not surviving, I tell you there is so much rumour mongering. In germany, there are contingency plans out which describe how the central bank would issue new German Mark notes to replace the Eur. Also new, currently unused colors are already ordered for the event new money printing begins. This is however a rumour and I laughed at it.

In the end, I rather think that the currency could be split into a core one and one for the fringes (essentially the Pigs + some eastern European countries). They should do it relatively fast to prevent further misallocation of capital.

It may have been orchestrated. If so, this may get our creditors really pissed.

Looking at EUR crosses, gulp! EUR/Swiss this is a harbinger of disaster. Today there is a stiff correction...
