these two highly (DTG, HTZ) leveraged high risk investments have been double grand slams. I looked at both of these high risk investments and passed back at the market meltdown. There were to many safer cheap investments at the time. Unfortunately many of them are only up 100%-150% vs 1000%. I would consider these cos still high risk.

Hertz - well Berkowitz explained in depth why he liked Hertz, I still did not bite. This is one of his good calls. :) Not my type of investment though.
