Dylan..
"The better product usually wins". Not all sentence to death are guilty. Not a perfect world here in the US, but better than most areas I have seen. Just who determines what is wrong, who is the person without prejudices.
ÿYour objections to MS business policyÿcould be applied to many if not all software manufactures in business today.
I agree Dylan with many of your thoughts and basic concepts. MS is following AT&T of my era, everybody loves a underdog and the dethroning of a leader.ÿ And possibly, unlikely, but possibly, SUN could be like another MS, a small, smart aggressive company has become the darling of the stock market and they become successful and rise to the top of the heap.
Along comes another generation that would like to see that old oppressive, controlling company taken back to where they started.
When MS falls, not should MS be force to fall now, the company or companies will have their short day in the Sun.ÿ They too will be demonized as the evil and controlling and down comes the Sun and maybe there will a Moon Company
And I agree this is usually the way it happens in this country and it is good for all concerned. BUT NOT DUE TO GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION, WE WILL HAVE A HARD TIME PUTTING THE GENIE BACK IN THE BOX.ÿ

ÿ If the demise of MS is not soon enough for some, tuff luck, it will happen.ÿ I'm old enough to have seen similar situations occur several times.ÿ
Dylan, we shall see changes in the software landscape, major changes. Dont push to hard towards the grave, you will have the opportunity to stand in line.
Thanks for your opinion, good investing
