>>>I know COMS's RAS doesn't support LU's modem. So, WorldNet must use either ASND, BAY, or CSCO RAS.<<<

Who has supplied AT&T's RAS, thus far? If not ASND, do you have any clue who they will choose? At least we know ASND is involved with their ATM...here is an excerpt from the UBS synopsis re: AEA, that Sector supplied:

"UBS believes Ascend has emerged as a supplier to AT&T Worldnet for ATM products as well as being used by AT&T for ATM for a native ATM service."

That's at least a good sign that ASND has business "inside" at AT&T.

Style Pts.

Huh? They primarily use 3Com Total Control hubs, just like all the other major ISPs. Perhaps you missed it....

Currently, AT&T WorldNet subscribers in the 11 cities can use the 56k technology through modems made 3Com Corp.

So, WorldNet must use either ASND, BAY, or CSCO RAS. Maverick, This was the reason for the post. Do you know if Worldnet has used ASND in the past? Also, I thought a US standard for 56K is likely to be reached by Jan 98. Has that changed? Glenn
