I renewed my last driver's license (which lasted four years) online and got a year bonus. So my photo will be nine years old by the time this one expires. No wonder they say 50 is the new 40. They are looking at drivers licenses!

The FEE of course doubled when the license went from 2 to 4 years, even though service dropped by 50%. Many increases since then.

Same thing with our emissions testing -- double the time between tests but double the cost of the test, too. Oy...

But civil servants are not fired if the service does not require human intervention.

Population not growing no one can state:
The same number of civil servants now serving a larger population.

This type of productivity increment means more convenience for the population that would not see the uselessness of many civil servants.
