The issue is only a hispanics one in AZ because there are so many illegal hispanics there. But people in the US are generally upset about "all illegals" no matter what their race or ethnic background because of the economic implications in some cases, security implications in other cases etc.... Most couldn't give a rats ass if they are hispanic. They don't want to pay taxes to support them, don't want the extra supply of workers depressing their wages, don't want extra poverty related crime, and don't want any terrorists slipping in here either. Hispanics just happen to make up the vast majority of illegals overall and particularly in AZ. But if there were 500 thousand illegal Germans, Irish, English, Italians etc.. in AZ soaking the public schools, health care system etc... they would pass the same laws. So to say it is racist IS SCUMBAG or RETARDED when there are obviously plenty of places throughout the country (like NY) where people of all ethnic backgrounds and races do well together but still share the same concerns about illegals as the people in AZ. Yes there are still racists in the world, but that's a very low level factor here. It's primarily economics and security at issue and SCUMBAGS on the left are turning it into a race issue to change the politics and prevent the law from removing future democrats and unions workers no matter what the will of the people and cost to the country.
