Two points.
1. When joint ventures are involved usually press releases have to be seen and aproved by the various parties. That is Teck and Donner to start with then Nai and who knows how many other of the jv parties.
So it would be hard for people close to those companies not to know that something was up and a release coming.
2. People are waiting and so any rumour causes a spike, one way or the other. I think people are also jumping from stock to stock hoping to catch the next star.

If I understand it right if a big find is made on the NAI ground it would be 50% nai 25% Drz and 25% teck ????? Right now donner has the edge because they have a finger in most of the properties but if a ore body was found on just one of those properties then that jv partner who has the property could end up with a higher percent. It will remain complicated and volitile untill all the jv partnerships are sorted out and teck gets a handle on which is the most likely ground.
Im not sure how the JV agreements read but it sure could get complicated. If a major find is made I would imagine teck or someone
would try to take over the various jv partners and consolidate. They have to find an ore body first of course.

The analyst you refer to should check his facts. The results from NAI so far aren't even close to the first results of DFR.
