That wasn't in retrospect. The agenda was all too apparent from the moment Bush was inaugurated in 2000 and was buttressed into 2004.
Every move by Bush and his lackeys was for political or financial gain for himself and his cronies. NOTHING was done for the constituents.
Unfortunately, the O Man hasn't changed a thing.
