Hitler was an Austrian, and was not able to run for election in 1932. Hmmm also sound familiar to Obama? It took a minor administrative post to get German citizenship, something not available to Obama. Oh right, how Hitler was "elected" to Chancellor. You do recall he only got 35% of the vote for President, even in the second round of voting. Businessmen wrote letters to Hindenburg, urging him to appoint Hitler as leader of a government "independent from parliamentary parties" which could turn into a movement that would "enrapture millions of people. Remember Hitler LOST the election and should have been done right then and there. Remember the Chancellorship was an appointed postion, kind of like the VP is in the United States and Hindenburg who won the election was pressured to appoint Hitler as Chanceller. He did so, then there was the Reichstag fire and Hindeberg dies, then the enabling act etc. The important point I'm really making is Hitler never would have happened if wasn't for the first point about citizenship.
