if you've ever bought anything you didn't absolutely need, you've helped contribute to the excesses of modern day society the cause for the hearings is an example of capitalism run amuck nobody really needed any of these shitty CDOs , and yet the demand was there, so goldman helped facilitate a market in them further, we the people elected the congress that allowed it all to happen I don't care to belabor the point nor wax philosophical.. and so if you're looking to take a contrary position, you should most likely not expect a response
