Many of us have been saying this for years. Maybe someone will finally listen...

My basic view is control the borders and open up
legal immigration by LARGE amounts. One of my associates calls it "tall
fences and wide gates".

Again why should Mexicans get to cut to the front of the line just by an accident of geography?

That's what I tell people when the issue comes up. Someone always ends up saying it's "unfair" to prevent Mexicans and other Latin Americans from sneaking across the border. I ask them how unfair it is to the thousands overseas that go through the process legally. Why is it more fair for Mexicans because they only have to swim the Rio Grande rather than the Atlantic or Pacific?

These folks are taking spots, and jobs, that people in Europe, Africa, the Carribean, or Asia could have legally. Mexico has an economy of over a trillion dollars, it isn't Ethiopia, for cripes sake.
