Also consider with the ever growing global encon that
PCs will be big. Intel does well selling low margin
chips for years. So if disk drives go the same way
as chips and become lower margin big deal. Consider
the untapped markets in asia, india, etc.. We can see
already the effects of the global market place. Think
long term! Dream baby! Think of the untapped population
of china! Why can't APM do well pumping out mega heads
for mega hard drives for mega people? Answer is they can
and will. This company knows how to make money!

I've noticed a lot of the <$1000 computers had 2.1 gig drives. WDC stated in their last earnings announcement that they sold all the 2.1 gig drives that they had and could have sold a lot more. I'm not sure that the boxmakers squeezed the component makers, at least on the 2.1 gig level.

BTW, about the last earnings estimate. Is this the one Crisman said was "astute" or is this the one that he called a "d-ckhead"? (According to other posters).
