1. wow, you are one opinionated guy tonight.
2. if you prove right, you should print out this post and save it.
3. cpq as a buyer? really putting yourself out on a limb.
4. 8 times sales, way to generous, i bet 6 or 7.
5. conservatism by mgmt, they know the stock has gone low and are now fearful of being roadkill.
6. mgmt need not sell anyone here the wisdom of the sale, we are already upset with mgmt. actually if mgmt gets over 40 many will make money and others can cut their losses. at 26, a buyout of 40 looks tempting.
7. i hope your scenerio works out, i am sure so does asnd mgmt.
8. nice post with a sherlock holmes feel to it.

"Wow" was my response after reading your "tea leaves" message.

The test of your theory is going to be if ASND stays above the $25 level. I believe the Treasurer's comments are going to have a negative impact on the price of ASND and the price will go to the low $20 range tomorrow or during the next couple of days.

I hope that I am wrong. If the price heads south, this will also be a negative on transaction price of the hypothetical merger. If ASND then remains below the $25 support level, it may kill the deal or result in a significant time delay in announcing a merger.

The price action of ASND during the next week or two will be a good indicator of the probability of your accuracy in reading tea leaves.

P.S. Your postings are a breath of fresh air to the ASND thread.

Rob

Gary,

My sincere thanks for your great post and despite the fact that it is all based on speculation, it does make sense to someone like me who up to this point strongly believed no deal in buying out ASND will ever take place.

Just one question, why do you think the buy-out will be at 8 times the sales (or as you said around $48-$50/shr)?

Regards,

Addi Jamshidi

Gary- I agree with your logic and have felt the same for some time...But the only question I have is the level of insider selling..some of the sellers were not upper management...I believe any deal would be kept to a few inner circle individuals..I also question the number of shares sold by Dahl.......
