5,000 barrels a day is a lot of oil. This spill could ruin those beaches for generations and devastate all the bird and other animal populations. Not to mention the fishing. This spill could be a seminal event. I hope someone asks Palin, Steele, Maccain and the Tea Party folks about their drill baby drill mantra. The liberals can seldom get the right wing to understand abstract concepts like potential oil spills. It takes concrete events for them to understand. Well, this is pretty friggen concrete. It is the same with what would happen if we bombed Iran. Liberals understand the myriad repercusions, right wingers simply do not think of all the attendent effects. Too much thinking for them. Right wingers just like to draw and fire and hope the hit something.
