Go ahead and look at a few of the 688 Comments!!! Comedy Central is right!

I wish I saw the humor. I don't.

What I see is central government inspired paranoia resulting in local law enforcement threatening American Citizens whose non-threatening and non-violent behavior is protected by the Constitution.

They need an excuse to create a contrived dilemma to resolve. One violent incident could become the catalyst they seek. I see cause for concern, if not alarm. If one tea party can be provoked into violence, there very well may be hell to pay nationwide.

The tea parties must go on and they must avoid violence at all costs. That may/will be difficult.

It's very interesting how the democrats and newsmedia are going to great lengths to portray tea party members and gatherings as threatening and/or potentially violent.

Kinda like how the Randy Weaver was painted before the events at Ruby Ridge and certainly how the Branch Davidians were described before the events at Waco.

After watching the award winning documentary "Waco - Rules of Engagement", it is pretty clear that we do have to fear our government. It is also clear that our law enforcement agents will lie just like common criminals when presented with evidence of their wrongdoing. As did Janet Reno.

I'm somewhat amazed that Clinton was able to escape being tainted by Waco by the liberals and the media. Imagine if that had happened during GWB's term.

Contrary to what Bill Clinton and Nancy Pelosi have stated, the incendiary language isn't coming from the tea partiers, it is coming from they themselves.

the only thing that comes to my mind is "thank god for the ubiquity of video cameras". On one hand the accusations of racists slurs and spitting can't be confirmed by audio and video recordings and then a lack of any videos of violent behavior by tea partiers on the other violent behavior by liberals has been documented repeatedly.

Hopefully people will start believing their own eyes rather than what the media and politicians choose to feed them. But the rhetoric from the left truly does seem to be setting the stage for something dramatic.
