It's a combination of Intel and Character. A lot of high IQ people get seduced into the "A" track in school and never figure out the "how to make a buck" part of it. They end up embittered Liberals.

That's why we had the post the other day about how "A" students teach while "B" students work for "C" students.

I have a friend who is a funny and terribly smart guy (outside of politics), quite accomplished in his field. A few years ago I asked him, out of curiosity, what is it specifically that turns him off to George Bush. The answer was a growl - "I Hate the son of a bitch!"

Go figure... :)

He and his family helped raise quite a few bucks for Obama.

I think part of the Mystery of the Left is that they focus on - and see mostly - "fairness" of outcomes. The American way is fairness in opportunity.
