Does anyone doubt that fatty foods are one of the prime root causes of obesity?

You betcha. The fat bogeyman is in the process of being taken down.

Denial of those facts is just another attempt to justify American's neverending desire to have their cake and eat it too. No you can not continue to eat enough for 3 people and stay slim.

Cake (carbs) and enough food for 3 people (calories) are not the same thing as fat. Gotta think critically about this, not just spew myths.

Fatty foods are more calorie dense, you don't need to eat as much of them to get a certain number of calories, OTOH they also tend to be more satisfying, so denser or not people might not eat any more in terms of calories.

A fat calorie or a carb calorie is still a calorie *, its not fatty food that's the problem, its too much food and too little exercise.

* - A carb calorie does take more energy and thus more calories to convert to body fat, than fat calories, so all else being equal its slightly less fattening, but only slightly. And "all else being equal is rather dubious since their are He was the guy that actually got Sadat to GO to Israel, glycemic index and apatite issues.
