" With a 19-cent pen, the AZ governor accomplished what billions from the Federal government could not. "

That will create a problem for 'other' states.

Aging in late stage.

AWESOME.

RE: Arizona immigration law.

I have to say that I find the arguments against this law specious at best. The argument is posed as the law inducing "racial profiling." I think that racial profiling is hideous. But I don't see any necessary cause and effect, and it is an insult to police. This is what "could" happen. The police could have no integrity and go after certain racial groups. A nation of fear. We must allow what could have to guide us. Just like global warming.

But do lets address what might be constructively done. Perhaps addressing why we really don't want illegal immigrants: 1)the economic balance, and 2) the tolerance of criminal behavior - as in the banksters. So how do we guard our state provided services from illegal immigrant moochers? How about requiring ALL emergency room visitors to provide proof of citizenship. Don't have proof??? Fine. We will fix you up and then send your criminal a$# back to your home land. At our expense. Want to go to a public school and are underage? Fine. Bring in your parents and have them show proof of citizenship. Applies for every mom and dad. No discrimination there. No proof??? Back home. Ten year old kids running around the neighborhood at 10:00 AM. Bring in the truancy officers. Have the kid spend the afternoon in the Big House - until mom and dad can come and get them - along with their proof of citizenship. A little more paper work for all but well worth it. White Russian moms, black Jamaican dads, Chinese foster parents...no citizenship - home you go.

Sorry Nancy. I know that this will cut into your California farm profits, and all of the Hollywood types will have to start paying their servants something more than room and board.

If you want to come here and work. Fine. Just be legal. Isn't 20% of the population on foodstamps??? Lets get real. Half don't pay any income tax. That can't last much longer. The US is insolvent, and if you come here illegally, you have already established yourself as a criminal. I must say that I would experience some serious cognitive dissonance if I apprehended an illegal and he asked me why I was sending him home while Blankfein remains free to roam the streets and pillage. No. Wouldn't want to be confronted like that. Relatively speaking, an illegal is harmless.
