Valdez leaked 11 million gallons. This oil leak, I believe is spewing 210,000 gallons a day. So every five days one million gallons of oil is being leaked. So in 55 days the spill will be the size of the Valdez oil spill. And our environment could handle it better than the gulf as most of it washed out into the huge and deep pacific ocean and dissipated. The gulf is like a bowl and the estuaries are much more fragile. And a lot more people will be affected. But our herring populations are still down 21 years later. The birds and sea otters were really hurt badly.
