"I attribute "immoral and inhuman" actions to people having a sinful nature" If the Christian South who refused to let the people go were doing evil because of a "sinful nature" then what good was their reliance on their Divine Moral Guide as their justification for treating human beings like draft horses? I mean, even the Popes and other Bishops kept slaves for centuries. Did their "sinful natures" also render them incapable of knowing that biblical support for slavery was merely a trick and that God/Jesus actually intended them to find the practice of slavery repulsive and reprehensible? Is the "sinful nature" also a "Stupid Nature"??
