If you have a card, I don't have a huge problem with non-governmental bodies deciding they want to use it as a form of ID (and you don't actually need it when cashing a check or for most other things, you just need ID, and the drivers license is the most common form of ID). Its not a case of force being applied against you, and its not something that I can get that worked up over.
