The reason I asked was that I've heard that medical school offers only a couple of hours in nutrition training, which is why physicians are typically so ignorant on the subject. And I suspect there's little or no training in study design and statistics because physicians so often draw incredibly ignorant conclusions from them, hence a lot of the bad advice we get.

Since you didn't mention the latter, I assume no training. Re the former, well, I'll withhold judgment. It wouldn't be fair to make one solely on your one comment re fat.
