Tony according to Zacks .....GASS will report earnings for the quarter ending 9/97 on 11/18/97......No est available but I'm expecting a positive earnings surprise(IMHO) TOM

Hey Tony, How goes it? Great to see you making some $$$ on this turkey! Although I dumped my big position long ago I still own some of their preferred and a tiny amount of their common. Still watching them, if only for old time's sake. This powerful a move on this much volume indicates much more than just a good quarterly release. First of all, this one won't be all that hot since gas prices didn't really perk up until the quarter was over. Second, they issued some more shares to their bank during the quarter so the # shares went up again (what else is new), putting an additional drag on cash flow per share lower. Best guess is that they have either hit some huge well or they are making another acquisition of more properties. I know they are already stretched out on their bank line but they are very creative folks over there and with their stock performing well over the recent months they may start thinking of that as a form of "currency" for acquisitions.
