Not so.

The rules are posted, and they are the Rules.

We have an unwritten rule that rules don't change in the middle of a round. That's also implied by the Rules, which state the rules.

We have another "rule" that it is Elroy's game and he is the final arbiter of disputes. But even for Elroy, rules don't change in the middle of a round, unless it is addressing or correcting an error in the header; and until Taro posts a change in the header, it is not effective.

That gives the board and at least Taro time to consider any suggestion or change.

I think we should not have a gap between rounds, and picks for the next round should be made by the close on the Friday a round ends. So far no one else supported this.

But if we did, and some people made picks for that Friday, and others didn't, and we still played with only one trade per month, then those who invest on Day 1 have used their one trading day, and those who stay in cash to use their one day later, still have it to use or not use.

Allowing a player to buy or short on Day 1 and make another trade on a different day would change the rules that have been posted for years, whether with the clean start we have now or with the theoretical no break version I want.

Your logic wins, agreed.

Let's mull these questions and possibly bring in some easy improvement(s) prior to next round, OK?
