I do not quite follow.

No one learns from a pick of Cash.

--------------------------

When we establish that April 23rd, or whatever day it is, defines the Start of the Contest, then you either pick an array of stocks or you pick a mix (part Cash, part positions) or you Pick Cash.

The people who pick part Cash or All Cash should not be allowed to trade further, unless the people who actually pick stock are allowed the same option.

The people who pick Stock have to pay a commission upon leaving the position. Your observation here does not change this.

We enter the contest with a position. Some elect to make that a position in stock and some elect to make it a position in Cash. If people are allowed to trade from a position in Cash once before the end of the month then people who elect to start with a position in Stock should have the same option.

I do not believe that this is a change to the Rules. This is not something that should be voted on for a future game. This is the rule as it stands.

As it happens at this point in time, Elroy is not available until after the month rolls.

So all of this may be moot.

Be that as it may, I think it's quite permissible for people who wish to roll into different positions to do so. If they are not allowed to do so, then people in Cash cannot either.
