SEATTLE, Nov 5 (Reuters) - ITT Corp.'s Sheraton hotel chain
will unveil new in-room technology Thursday aimed at its core
market of business travelers.
A company spokeswoman said the technology would include
Internet service delivered through the television set as well
as "a lot of other things."
The announcement will be made at Microsoft Corp.'s
headquarters outside Seattle and will include representatives
of Compaq Computer Corp.'s Tandem unit, 3Com Corp. and Asia
Connect of Malaysia.

"This is not about delivering something you can get today,"
spokeswoman Dolores Sanchez said. "This is about combining all
the things you could possibly get in your office and in your
home and making it available in a very, very easy way."
Company officials said the new system would allow travelers
to establish an identity that could be used at any of
Sheraton's 437 hotels worldwide to check electronic mail and
voice mail and access other customized features.
