Oil is over $85 per barrel and drifting up: marketwatch.com So we have inflation in items that can't be deferred (food and energy) and stale earnings. Obama's "making work pay" was a very low profile stimulus that actually helped the economy (anyone else get a pleasant $800 surprise when doing their taxes this year?). But it looks like most of it is now being siphoned off by Saudi Arabia (you know, the guys who attacked the New York Trade Center Towers).
