I've become neutral on offshore drilling, as long as it's not on my coast. Ditto nukes. There are 2 things we really need to deal with...energy and climate. The rest is all just trivial. Unfortunately, people won't go with solar, wind, and tidal unless you throw them bones like "Sure, Lindsey; you want to drill off yer coast? Give me a windfarm in Nantuckett Sound and a smart grid." If the oil companies want to waste their money drilling on the Atlantic Seaboard while I get a hybrid federal motor pool, cool.
