The philosophical revolution of the 18th century is called the "enlightenment" for a reason. To suggest that the age of rationalism and 2000 years of preserved thought gives no advantage to thought is to ignore your phone, your stove, your car, your teachers, your printing press--and 2000 years of progress and advancement in every science and every discipline. Any freethinker today who believes in slavery is either NOT a freethinker or he is knowingly a bastard.
