Sure... but the very WAY in which he "transmitted" his information is telling. Orally. Further, in 'stories'... to give context... he was VERY SMART. If one studies the Eastern traditions this is also the way because so much information is lost even in this way... let alone by writing things down. Words are linear and open to interpretation... there is no questioning about what they mean or what was meant... NO CONTEXT. So while the "gospels" would contain the greatest amount of truth, they are still written. Wonder how much of the bible is supposedly direct quotes by Jesus Christ? IMHO, that could be the only thing worth reading. "The Tao that can be spoken is NOT the eternal Tao" DAK
