Roger, the mobile factory is zitel's newest hype to try to make up for lack of contracts, and give longs false hope. BTW; lie # 15. I asked Harris what were the prospects for foriegn business. He said that there are lots of foriegn companies chomping at the bit to get md technology, but zitel needs to get things rolling in the U.S. first.

If someone there in the U.S. wants to shed some light on this issue, contact a CIO in a government department that does classified work or the government sales division of a major hardware vendor. Ask them what general specs have to be met for a workstation of any sort to be certified for a classified area. Ask them about the time and cost. Ask them what the vendor had to do to get certified.

Also, ask how much classified work involves COBOL? I'm not a programmer but I always understood COBOL was more of a financial application. Ask yourself which functions the military and intelligence community perform which tend to be classified.

Not being part of that world myself (I work in the foreign service) I only know it from a distance. However, I can tell you that these are very careful people. When it comes to hardware and software they are very unlikely to look beyond established, cleared vendors.

BG, that's just my opinion based on my time in government holding a security clearance that wouldn't get me past Langley's front door without a polite but firm escort. That's further than ZITL's uncleared staff will get.

Good luck all.
