There are a few ways to raise HDL. Believe it or not, one of them is increasing your saturated fat. No, I'm not kidding. Polyunsaturated fats (PUFAs) have lots of negatives including lower HDL. If you can't get past your brainwashing on saturated fats, at least switch from PUFAs to MUFAs. (To raise your HDL you can also try a SloNiacin supplement and fish oil in addition to your exercise.)
