Wolf....my worry would be the margins of the ISP business...they are no where near the margins of PC's. Plus the ISP market is so crowded it would be tough to get any market share, yet the start up cost will be huge....these guys are going to have to place dialup access in every area code so that users don't have to make long distance calls, or are they just partnering with already established ISP's.

MSN and AOL offer alot more services than just plain Internet so the few extra bucks for AOL maybe worth it.

I just don't see why they did it other than trying to attract more PC buyers....I don't think they expect to make any money off the ISP business.

<< I just read GTW's press release. The selling points for their service as they see it
are 1) ease of use and 2) price. 3) quick access >>

I have Pacbell and GTE.

Compared to GTW thay have 1. same 2. Better $19.95 unlimited. 3. same 4. 24 hour customer support.

So do most all ISP's. What is GTW's point at this late stage in the game??

gtw can assure fast access b/c their pricing will deter customers. hey, if aol had 30 customers then they'd have fast access, too ;-)

just joking, bulls. please don't say i'm distorting anything. creative license was granted ahead of time by the us dept of creative licensing.

btw, does gtw manufacture pcs, operate pc retailing stores or serve as an isp? what's next? they gonna start making dram? ;-)
