Guys and gals.....there's plenty of time left. Found on comp.2000 news group. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Loosely translated from an update by the computing department of the city of Turku (one of Finland's "Big 3", even if it does only clock in at around 150,000 people): "Fortunately, 1.1.2000 will be a Saturday, so we will have all weekend to test our software for compliance." And I'm afraid the author was being serious when he wrote that. Now, you'd think I'd be glad to live in Helsinki then, but the aforementioned line was published in September 1996, whereas I've yet to hear anything from Helsinki's local government. Oh well. On a more positive note, at least from my point of view, the numerous Finnish-speakers in this newsgroup are encouraged to check out my article "Y2K - kuinka varautua" in this month's issue (11/97) of "Tietokone" magazine.
