Just run it from the boot CD. It works 100% perfect from the boot CD.

Only problem I have is it won't let me select images I want from my removable hard drive, so now I use external USB drives and I have no problems at all.

I like True Image, but I like the free version even better.

support.wdc.com

Unlike the paid version, a few of the un-needed, un-used, and un-wanted bells and whistles have been removed. It makes the package slimmer and simpler.

Unlike the paid version, the free version also runs on my system without any issues.

The free version can be made into a bootable CD.

The downside: The free version only runs if it finds a Western Digital disk in your system. (An external WD through USB won't do.)

Cheers, PW.

P.S. When I had trouble with my paid version of Acronis, I became profoundly disturbed at their poor support.
