the Nantucket Sound windfarm passed. Now it needs another year for lawsuits to work their way through...the arguments so far have been lame and non scientific... it'll get done.

My team plays against a school in Rhode Island - at the school there is one large wind turbine - it was so successful that the town put on in too...even bigger. It is on the edge of Naragansett Bay that has a steady blow - I think they are magnificent looking....they are very popular at the school and the town (Portmouth RI). In the winter, the school get 75% of it's electricity from it....the summer they get 125%. It has a 6 year payback....you just can't beat that math. In six years, the school will only have the maintenance cost of the turbine (minimal)....that's it...the electricity will be "free". The investment was $1 million all in.
