Message 26506519 Message 26506783 When solutions abound, foot dragging, excuses and name calling don't really cut it, IMO. Shaving 1/10th of the war budget would have a drastic impact on energy use in the US. As long as both parties would rather expand empire than address getting off the petro teat, we have a major problem.

Sometimes I do just get too confused. Like I can understand a veggie person who drives an electric car that does not involve coal, getting all upset over the fate of the fishies. but... how does a non-veggie get upset on the one hand about the fishermen losing out on fishing while on the other hand bemoaning the fate of the fish? 'tis better to die at the hand of a fisherman and then be eaten than to die in a oil slick? dead is dead. and I think I'd rather rot to nothingness than end up in the belly of a human.
