I thought BP would be a good buy given Exxon's experience post EV, but I have changed my mind. The EV spill was finite, though enormous. We still don't know the limits of this one.

Perhaps a good time to dive into BP would be when the well looks like it is stabilizing but certainly not now. By then, of course, the price will be higher.

Despite the recent good news, IMO too much risk of a calamity still exists to justify bottom fishing.

I am really heartened by the good news. The reduced flow might allow the domes to do their job.

I guess we are looking at a disaster rather than a cataclysm. But things can change; keep your fingers crossed.
