Five surgeons are discussing the types of people they like to operate on.

The first surgeon says: I like to see accountants on my operating table
because when I open them up, everything inside is numbered.

The second responds: Yeah, but you should try electricians! Everything
inside them is color-coded.

The third surgeon says: No, I really think librarians are the best.
Everything inside them is in alphabetical order.

The fourth surgeon chimes in: You know, I like construction workers.
Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.

But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed:
You're all wrong ----- Politicians are the easiest to operate on.
There are no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine.
Plus, the head and the ass are interchangeable.

I think the main thing is, it's a mile under the ocean, divers can't go that deep, and any work has to be done remotely by ROV's in near zero visibility with oil churning and gushing all around. That's why we haven't been seeing any undersea video (from the ROV's) on the news.

But, you're right, SOMETHING can and will be done. The thing is, BP and every other offshore company should have ALREADY had the cure designed, built and ready to be deployed.

Even this suit won't go that deep:
