I started reading Will as a teen. He wasn't, to my reading, an idealogue then. Not until the last few years, but still his earlier sensible self sneaks out and it's a pleasure. It's more than once over my teen to later years that something he presented, as you say he debates well, altered a view of mine. Not that I utterly changed, but I could see his point, and tempered mine in response. But he was not ugly, or kneejerk, or wanting to bomb people, or such. And he never hated on people. I think he has a bit of a point re Arizona, but only a bit of one. Maher? Maher seems to have no point on the subject. But Will is off on this also, imo.

the common ground is out there, but it won't be found between them.
