Over the crest: U.S. onshore permitting appears to have crested. As one would
expect gas and vertical are "hardest hit", while oily and horizontal are down less.
Permits can be lumpy (hence we use a rolling 4-week average), but the last two
weeks have been soft enough to likely weigh on that average very near term. We
expect this to be cited as "proof" that activity is succumbing to weak gas prices—i.e.
a negative data point for U.S. land gas-exposed OFS.
