You rise above it, with great thoughts, and then sink right back into some sort of ethnocentric gobldekook. The souths bigotry and anti intellectual culture drives me insane. But I also know very well that they are victims of their own ignorance and so I do not blame them directly. And I sure as hell do not want to see them or anyone else suffer. The southern poor were fooled because the were not equiped educationally to figure out the right wing was duping them. Not their fault, really.
